Massive inferno and blast at Dahej Industrial Estate of Bharuch In an unfortunate incident, at least eight people were killed and 50 others were injured in a fire incident triggered due to a blast in a chemical factory in Dahej Industrial Estate of Bharuch district in Gujarat on Jun 03, 2020. Dahej is a major cargo port on the Gulf of Khambhat where a number of industrial units are located. The blast took place at the unit of Yashasvi Rasayan Pvt Ltd., which was registered in 2016. The deadly fire incident happened due to massive explosion in a boiler at the agro-chemical company at this chemical factory that is located in Dahej Special Economic Zone-1.
